Statement of DAVID ROSS, Candidate for
Director
San Lorenzo Valley Water District

Occupation: Incumbent Director

Education and Qualifications: I am a member of the current San Lorenzo Valley Water District Board of Directors which is unanimous in its commitment to the environmental protection of our watershed and to the careful husbanding of the proceeds from the sale of the Waterman Gap property. Waterman Gap will be protected as a part of Castle Rock State Park.

The most significant item for the next term is to develop a vehicle for inter-district cooperative management of our shared aquifer. Scotts Valley needs water for its continuing development and both their water district and the county are looking to our sources of supply. We should be good neighbors, but not at the cost of diminishing either the quantity or quality of the water available to the customers of the San Lorenzo Valley Water District.
