Doreen Martinez
For Watsonville City Councilmember, District 6

Occupation: Retail Clerk                                                       Age: 53

I have lived in the Pajaro Valley for nearly 50 years, attended all local schools and graduated from Watsonville High School.

I have been active in my community and have decided to run for the Watsonville City Council.

Having worked for a local grocery store for over 20 years, I stepped up to serve in Union Leadership for the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 5.

Through my community work and on the job, I have built many relationships in our community.
I have raised my family here in Watsonville, my children attended local schools, and are employed here.

I recognize the importance in improving Downtown Watsonville, developing good-paying jobs and safe neighborhoods, parks for youth and dog owners, plus keeping Watsonville clean and beautiful.

Representing my neighbors on the Watsonville City Council would be an honor.

Councilmembers need to be prepared, open to all viewpoints and ready to collaborate.

As a City Council member, I will listen to all the concerned voices of our community.

Our Councilmembers must be ready to work as a team to strengthen our community.
I respectfully ask for your vote.

Thank you.
