Argument for Measure F

Vote YES on Measure F to increase affordable housing, improve mental health crisis response and other solutions for people experiencing homelessness and reduce the impacts of these problems on our community.

The COVID-19 pandemic heightened challenges our City has faced for decades. Today, the need for increased affordable housing and solutions for people experiencing homelessness has never been greater.

Measure F provides essential local funding Santa Cruz can invest in these vital programs.

Vote YES on Measure F:

  • Partner with community organizations and the County to connect unhoused people to mental health and substance abuse help
  • Maintain safe, secure and clean parks, watersheds and recreational facilities
  • Support solutions for unhoused people and help them get off the streets into stable housing
  • Invest in affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households, including workforce housing

Additional funds allow the City to put forth real solutions to solving issues and expanding programs like the partnership with Dignity Health that is building 120 units of supportive housing for those experiencing chronic homelessness.

Voting YES on Measure F makes Santa Cruz a safer, more affordable, cleaner city to live in – benefitting all residents.

Measure F funds will also:

  • Reduce the risk of wildfires in our open space and natural areas
  • Improve safety by maintaining streets, roads and sidewalks
  • Update firefighting and emergency medical services equipment
  • Help local businesses rebound from the impacts of the pandemic
  • Keep downtown clean and safe for all

All who visit and shop in Santa Cruz will pay their fair share of Measure F. Every penny raised by Measure F funds stays here in Santa Cruz – nothing can be taken by the State.

Measure F is essential for strengthening our community. Help keep Santa Cruz a safe and desirable place to live, work and visit.

Join businesses, renters, homeowners and community leaders and vote YES on F.
