    • Candidate filing for a Governing School Board Member (two year term) begins Wednesday 11/23/2022 and will close on Friday 12/9/2022.  Candidates can file their Declaration of Candidacy during business hours of 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday excluding holidays at the Santa Cruz County Clerk/Elections Office 701 Ocean St Room 310, Santa Cruz.
    • If a candidate opts to submit a 200 word Candidate Statement of Qualifications, it must be filed at the same time as the Declaration of Candidacy. Estimated cost is $558 (English) and $708 (English/Spanish) printed in the Voter Information Guide and posted online OR $320 (English) and $470 (English/Spanish) posted online only.
  • November 8, 2022 Statewide General Election
    • Unofficial Results - 105 ballots were added to the vote totals including Same Day Registrations and Vote by Mail ballots.  Next update on Tuesday (12/6) at 4pm
    • There are more ballots to be processed and added to the vote totals
      • Same Day Registrations and Provisional Ballots - 38 more to be researched and possibly added to the totals
      • Vote by Mail - 15 (approximate) to be researched and possibly added to the totals 
    • The Canvass Continues - currently working on the 1% manual tally of all contests on the ballot
